Lady Fish (Giant Herring) Frenzy at Changi Offshore

Woke up to see heavy rain pouring. Spirits were very low at that point. Hope the rain will stop... Reached the boat... It was still raining... Reached spot... Still raining... Raining for a fast current day is really good luck have fun....Bahahaha..

Soon, i caught an Ang Ko Li too. Missed one due to playing too much with it though... Usual Jio Lor etc was landed and ONE HUGE FLATHEAD! Its the biggest flathead ive seen being caught so far.

Went to Ang cho spot but the Ang Zhos not around... I bring up their house also they dont want to come fight back....

So we went to hunt Chermin lah as usual... Fast current mah... No Chermin ah so sad... drift there park there... Only result in Ah Seng...

We drifted another 1 hr or so until some anglers got bored... and decided to imitate SouthPark or some say Darth Vader... Who knows! After we imitate, we had screaming reels and bending rods! A Herring was landed and straightaway after landing it, i also got one! I controlled it nicely and it was gonna be landed liao but who knows it throw hook! Suspected it was foul hooked somewhere...


After that was chaos ah... miss here and there... Landed another... Lionking landed a Chermin.... bla bla bla... Overall around 10 Tek Ngor AKA Kurau Tebu missed and only 2 landed. Ah Girl didnt have any bites at the beginning but at the end she had one bite in which the Herring bent her rod in the first burst so forcefully that her line broke... bahaha...

So overall the catch is poor but we had lots of entertainment. Probably the trip in which i laughed so much!

What is the difference between the Kurau (Indian Threadfin) and Senangin (Blue Threadfin Salmon)?

This post aims to enable you to know the difference. Name and Terminology Kurau is known as Indian Giant Threadfin salmon/Kurau/黑午鱼/Orh Ngor Senangin is known as Blue Threadfin salmon/Senangin/白午鱼/Pek Ngor/Ngor Soon Eating Quality Kurau is known the more premium species and is a popular fish for maternity purposes as it is believed to boost milk supply for new mothers. It is rare and big sized fish are hard to come by these days. Generally costs more than Senangin. Senangin is less premium and is readily available in the market in various sizes. This new pond has replaced the former Gills Fishing. I guess this is good news as there is so little fishing ponds left in Singapore now. Prawning rates are usually $30 to $40+ per 3 hrs and the only difference for some operators is whether they allow you to store your hours, split the 3 hrs into 2 rods. Marina South Singapore Fishing Spot (Eging and Shore Jigging Recce)

Marina South has always been a favourite fishing spot in Singapore. In the past, we would go settle our dinner at the Marina South buffet steamboat and then head off to the water breakers to crank deep diver lures. In fact, I remember a memory of having my popper being taxed from me one of those times we went luring there! Another fairly famous fishing spot were the freshwater ponds just next to the saltwater side. Quite a fair bit of haruan (snakehead) and tarpon in there! Ok back to the topic. I finally had time to go for a full recce of the Marina South fishing areas. It's quite amazing that there are no restrictions for fishing almost the entire Marina South coast and it makes shore casting, eging, ajing and microjigging so much more fun. Fishing at D'Best Fishing (also known as Pasir Ris Main Pond or PRMP) with Rubber Lures (Luring)

I went there with a few of my secondary school friends and we caught dozens of huge tilapia. It was when there was no operator at the pond and you could simply fish for free.
