I've always wanted to have a bigger Eging pouch to keep my squid jigs instead of the usual sizes that tackle shops provide. So i had this idea when i saw the file at Daiso. I got some material from my office and Daiso All Purpose Glue... I went to work on it today. Glued the sides and bottom to the edges of the file. I got itchy though and sprayed paint some stuff... It turned out disastrous but i could improve on the next version... The keepers at the side are just experiments... I wonder if they will work and not be a problem there... The completed version waiting for glue to dry... itchy butt me went to spray...

I'm a big fan of Daiso lures and egi squid jigs. I have long heard of Daiso coming to Bukit Panjang Plaza and i finally visited it last week! And yup they had a fishing section with most of the stuff being the same ones from IMM Jurong East. They have more new stuff though... But what i loved most was the new Egi Squid Jigs which came in natural colours. They had a nice colourful range of plastic squid jigs too but I didn't get those... These Daiso Yamashita copies will be excellent for Sibu shy squids during day time! Luckily for me, I grabbed the last 2 pcs of 2.5... I'll be scouting around for more of these...

Just went down to Daiso just now. I grabbed some useful and interesting things that i could use in my trips. Daiso Egi lures have improved tremendously over time and i found the last batch of egi lures WIPED OUT! However, a new batch was waiting to be taken for the kill. I found it to be a carbon copy of the Yamashita Fast Sinking gold body models! I grabbed all sizes except the 3.5... Here's some pictures if you don't believe the striking comparison. A good copy indeed... Real yamashita vs daiso egi comparison Copied to every detail except eyes and hooks I also got myself some lure boxes which i think will be useful. They come with interchangeable compartments using plastic sliders. I could not resist grabbing more green pencils. Even more impressive was that the weak hooks were replaced with stronger ones. I got some rubber creepy crawdads too...

I went shopping around IMM area and happened to be at Daiso... Heard from the forum that the new batches of Daiso lures are in recently. I was quite surprised when I arrived there as it looked as though there was a raid on the stocks. There are new swivel/lure boxes and green/gold coloured rattling vibes(silent and rattle). There is also a very cute lure which i think is only 2cm... I was more interested in the squid jigs which are named the "Egi Spurt". Nose and body are shaped like Yamashitas but the colours are quite intriguing. I found the gold belly with black cloth very attractive. I got myself the yellow body (rainbow belly) and blue coloured (silver belly) too. The black, yellow and blue! These new bunch of squid jigs are better quality than the last squid jigs that Daiso brought in... So at $2, i found it quite value for money. Will be testing them out in my next squidding trip... Its been a long time I did research on squid... Today I have nothing to do so I present to you all something that some may know or some may not know... What is the difference? I'm not any Japanese pro angler who uses eging rod and i don't really take note of the egi descent or rate of descent but i do all these just roughly and so far they are working for me...
