It's not everyday or it's probably not ever that you would be able to get your hair cut onboard but Charter Captain Jimmy Lim did just that for me on my last trip out with him. He actually brought his saloon and cutting hair instruments to the boat for me!

We started the day with Jimmy hitting some good baby trevallies on jigs but the action was slow and fishing was difficult... Soon, we had the boat anchored while Jimmy whipped out his scissors!

After the haircut, the difficult fishing became slightly better as two quick fire Grunters (Guhood) were landed in quick succession by the girlfriend (with some help)!

This new pond has replaced the former Gills Fishing. I guess this is good news as there is so little fishing ponds left in Singapore now. Name and Terminology Kurau is known as Indian Giant Threadfin salmon/Kurau/黑午鱼/Orh Ngor Senangin is known as Blue Threadfin salmon/Senangin/白午鱼/Pek Ngor/Ngor Soon Eating Quality Kurau is known the more premium species and is a popular fish for maternity purposes as it is believed to boost milk supply for new mothers. Hirasuzuki fishing experience in Jeju I've never thought I'd be fishing in Korea all my life. Seriously! So when the opportunity to do some fishing in Jeju popped up, I couldn't say no. It was a completely gut based decision based on the goal that was to eat the korean hirasuzuki also known as blackfin seabass. I heard that the fight of the fish wasn't that great but I was very curious about eating it!
