New Year's Day Fishing At Pasir Ris Farmway 3
Here's a CR that is a little outdated but still brings back fond memories. Momok and me went to Farmway 3 to get our first fishes for the New Year. Momok and me had a Barra while AG had a Patin. We were grateful that day as the fish were biting fast and hard. It was raining the whole day but it still was a pretty crowded place! Also on this trip Momok landed a Motoro Ray and I landed a Sultan Fish.

Foreword and Disclaimer My first encounter with prawning dated back to 2002. Back then, I hooked up my first prawn near the prawning ponds beside the Downtown East chalets at Pasir Ris. This post aims to enable you to know the difference. Name and Terminology Kurau is known as Indian Giant Threadfin salmon/Kurau/黑午鱼/Orh Ngor Senangin is known as Blue Threadfin salmon/Senangin/白午鱼/Pek Ngor/Ngor Soon Eating Quality Kurau is known the more premium species and is a popular fish for maternity purposes as it is believed to boost milk supply for new mothers. It is rare and big sized fish are hard to come by these days. Generally costs more than Senangin. Senangin is less premium and is readily available in the market in various sizes. Fishing for Hirasuzki (Blackfin Seabass) with the best fishing guide in Korea
Hirasuzuki fishing experience in Jeju I've never thought I'd be fishing in Korea all my life. Seriously! So when the opportunity to do some fishing in Jeju popped up, I couldn't say no. It was a completely gut based decision based on the goal that was to eat the korean hirasuzuki also known as blackfin seabass. I heard that the fight of the fish wasn't that great but I was very curious about eating it! To make my fishing dream come true, I engaged Hyunwook, whom I think is the best fishing guide in Korea and didn't regret it one bit (read below). Family Fishing Holiday This trip to Jeju was meant as a family holiday so I only had a day or two to go fishing for the hirasuzuki.
