Pan Fried Cobia Fillet With Lemon and Herbs

Image
Since I caught some Cobia whilst at TP, I decided to give Cobia meat a go. Take Olive Oil, 3 tbps of french mustard, herbs, dill leaf and marinate the fish fillets and in bowl. Marinate as long as possible for it to take in all the flavour.  Once ready to cook, melt some butter in a frying pan and once it is hot, add in the minced garlic and fry until golden brown. Add in the fillets and fry. Use a spoon to spread the marinate when frying. Squeeze some lemon juice here if preferred or squeeze it when ready to serve. Pictures below:

I've been wanting to do this for a long time but never got my hand down to it. I went fishing and who knows... A monster cat fish was landed and I brought it home. And we have Parmesan Cheese Marinated with Crushed Herbs and Spices Fish (With a Dash Of Lemon Juice Sprinkled) N Potato Wedges And Nuggets Dipped in Special Tar Tar Sauce... Enjoy the pictures and process: Tip: It is good to remove the "blood" that runs through the middle of the flesh. It might smell fishy!

Freshwater Luring at LSR

After the Man Utd Vs Roma game today I was feeling kinda lethargic. In fact i was sick... Down with the flu bug and sore throat. So what to do? Go Fishing! Took the first train at 545am and I was on my way! In the end, caught nothing much but still enjoyed myself out in the sun and doing the stuff I love best.

Changi Offshore with Ah Chong 18 March 200

18 March 2008 Ah Chong CR: Special Edition! Today is a disastrous day. We only had catch until 12pm. After 12pm, not even a single bite from almost all of us. But as they say, not everyday Sunday. Met Ah Longs boat on the way and they seem to have a better catch. Looks like they visited some metal payponds and parked most of the time. Today we went to a secret spot further up North Tekong. About 1hrs then we reach the spot and we are drifting between some kelongs. Beginning, the current was alright... We landed a few Ang Cho and it was quite okay. The scenery was beautiful! Rows and rows of mangrove...Nice Green water and you can HEAR THE BIRDS CHIRPING AT THE TEKONG FORESTED AREA! BIRDS CHIRPING! Not a single boat was here... As we drifted... The current started moving and that was when no more bites. I reckon we were drifting too fast and the bait was like moving fast along the very rocky bottom. The fish were unable to grab the bait and we were very sad. The bottom was very ro...

Dedicated to Ah Vin and Weiyee! 18 Feb CR 2008 Damn windy and choppy and sunny. Morning started off great with us landing a few ang kuey and ang cho. After that slow down already. Until start to tui chao then we caught a few more fish. Ah Chong champion with 1.8kg guhood. Sim's dad burst a giant herring at the ending part when his 40lb braided line broke as he didnt control his drag properly. I also caught nth much except for grouper and some small fish. Ah Chong brought up a bubu with his anchor and in it were palm size fishes including grouper and kaci. Released the grouper and kaci but took the mouthwatering leather jackets...hohohooho... Optimistic Start... Boring mid day Total catchy

Grunter Changi Fishing

15 Feb 2008- Its a G-uh-OOD Day! Ah Chong's Boat Received news that out of the 6 supposed to go today, only 3 could make it. I jumped on the wagon and off went 4 lone fishers with their hopes for a good day out at sea. It was a very windy day. The first half of the day went off well with many guhoods landed. It was a guhood frenzy! Seems like its their spawning season. The guhoods ranged from 500g-1kg only. Strangely, all we landed were guhoods. No other species! No Ang Chor and only 1 or 2 pcs grouper. I waited till very long to land my first guhood and after that i was rewarded with 2 more and some gaos. The afternoon was less productive and we drifted and drifted with only small fishses nibbling. We were rewarded when it was approaching evening. 7 Ang Chos were landed in that short time and it seemed that it was good fishing! By then, i was using just a 6ft shimano basstera 8-17lbs with kix 2500 and was pretty confident of hauling up the small fish. Ah Chong said he missed...
